CREATION OF A light LINE BY ART WORKS

CONNECTING "NORTH SEA - MEDITERRANEAN SEA" 

the north sea and the mediterranean sea are connected at precisely 03°07'45" E by two towers with a lighting top // the tower (1932-34) of the casino of blankenberge by modernist architect léon stynen has blue transparent glass plates on the top // on the other side of europe at the same longitude 03°07'45" E  a real light tower EL FARO of palamós (es) stands in front of the mediterranean sea.

due to the inherent theme of the year of light - optical technologies - the proposal is to convert this 03°07'45" E meridian* into a visual line on the map, where in reality on the ground international artists create art-in-situ projects, to be reported by international photographers (greek: light draftsmen) // these art-in-situ works would all reflect the same identity of time and light of the meridian with the specific local color of their latitude // to support their ideas the artsts could use optical effects by mirrors or other optical instruments by renowned providers // for developping their ideas, the artists need sites or simple tracts of land situated on this light meridian // maybe open hand landowners or communal authorities can provide them // a catalog with gps coordinates of the different sites on the light meridian will be published // info: ...
